Peter Pan

This past week I read Peter Pan for one of my outside readings. I have never read the original book, but I have always been a fan of the movie. I was interested in how the book and the movie compared. John, Wenday, and Michael Darling follow Peter Pan to Neverland where the kids as well as Peter Pan never grow up. This is a magical fairytale where the Darling children are taken to a whole new reality which cannot be reached in the real world. There are mermaids, pirates, fairies, and the children can fly in Neverland. The children engage in danger with the pirates who are trying to catch Peter Pan. Wendy also becomes a mother figure to the "lost boys" in this land. The story was very similar to the movie.
