I have always enjoyed the fantasy genre of stories. I like being able to escape in my reading to and unknown world that seems so real through the development of the story and setting. Being able to experience a world that is so unreal and creative allows me to experience magic in my imagination. Ever since I was little, hearing a fantasy story helps me escape from everyday stresses and worries to a world that I can experience that normally I can not.
Of course one of my favorite fantasy story's is the Harry Potter series. This fantasy definately made me experience something that I would not experience in my everyday life. When I was younger, the story was so convincing that I thought I might be able to go to Hogwarts. Now that seems ridiculous, but the fantasy was that good. I am excited about further learning about fantasy literatue in this class.
