After Reading Alice in Wonderland...

After reading Alice in Wonderland for this class, I have been able to be enlightened by what is actually happening in the book through the class discussions. There is so much nonsense and satire that make up the wackiness of Wonderland. Also, reading the footnotes allowed me to ponder and question a lot of what is happening in the story. One footnote that threw me off big time was about when Alice was falling down the rabbit hole and she couldn't drop the jar of marmalade because it was falling at the same rate as her. Please explain that to me because that is to much for me to comprehend.

Wonderland is a place that defies the rules of nature, logic and pretty much everything that would make sense to me. I guess this is why Alice had such a hard time understanding the world around her like the conversation at the tea party and why there was no room for her, and why her being courteous was not accepted like she was taught it to be. This book is flat out crazy on the fact that someone actually sat down and wrote such nonsense that does not make sense. Someone like me who likes to understand the facts cannot sit down and read this because it just makes me mad. This is because I am not able to make sense of anything which is the purpose of the book.
